"Taking this degree has showed me that there are many other opportunities out there. I took a gamble and wanted to see if I would be any good at being technical. Turns out, I'm more technical than I've realized. I have a better understanding on the history of technology and also what lies ahead. It was very interesting. I'm now looking to branch outside of my field to see what experiences and skills I can gain in this new field. This degree also has made me see that I have more to offer in my current skillsets than I'm recognized for. It has also afforded me the opportunity to work on technical projects on my job."

"The discussion board being a requirment really forced me to get to know my classmates. While attending a University in person you may or may not get to know your classmates. I have made several friends I still communicate with."

"I spent 20 years in the Navy, most of my career was a Naval Aircrewman flying Electronics Surviellance. I had the opportunity to go to college while in the Navy and get a commission but I was having too much fun flying and traveling all over the world that I let those opportunities pass me by. When I retired I started working for GTE and they had announced the Nactel program and thought it would be interesting. I was right. My wife was a major influence on me keeping with the studies and was always very proud of me and my grades. In high school I had very few A's and B's, most of my grades were C's and and one or two D's. I never really applied myself. Now my mother, wife and siblings are very proud of what I have accomplished."

"Due to my increase in knowledge of telelcommunications principles, I have become more effective in my job. My PACE education was a helpful factor in my making a lateral move from a customer service oriented position to the more technical ACD/Network Operations position that I presently occupy. I am much more confident in my abilities due to the classes I have taken."

"It gave me an opportunity to show my children that school is important and to show them good study habits.

"This allowed me to schedule classes around my busy life. In a traditional school you had to work around their schedule which make it almost impossible for most people to pursue a degree."

"It has helped me gain a better understanding of the industry and has assisted with more job opportunity potential. I have been trying to pass this test at work in order to be qualified for a better more technical job that I really wanted and have been unable to pass the prior three times. I took my final in AIT 223 on April 11 and then took the Net Tech test on April 15 this year and passed it with excellence. All I can say is if I had not had the class work behind me, I would not have been able to pass this important test."
